Eagles Add Five to 2009-10 Roster
The Eastern Washington University men's basketball program has nearly completed its roster for the 2009-10 season with the addition of five players who are expected to attend EWU this fall and play for the Eagles and head coach Kirk Earlywine. Earlywine made the announcement on Tuesday (June 16) and said one more player will soon be added to the roster. (more)

D'Vonne Pickett Joins Three Other Guards as EWU Letter of Intent Signees
Rainier Beach High School 5-foot-10 guard D'Vonne Pickett has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Eastern Washington University, joining two other state of Washington high school standouts in EWU's four-player recruiting class. The other two in-state signees won 2009 state championships with their respective schools. Chris Holmes led Franklin to the WIAA State 3A title and 6-foot Jeff Forbes led Federal Way to the championship in the State 4A ranks. (more)

Eastern Improves by One Victory to 12-18
It was an improvement, but Eastern Washington University men's basketball coach Kirk Earlywine was hoping for more as he concluded his second year as head coach. The Eagles finished 12-18, improving by one victory over the 2007-08 season's 11-19 mark. (more)

Eastern Fights Gaels in First Half Before Losing 85-65
For a hastily-scheduled game that looked like a mis-match on paper, the Eastern Washington University men's basketball team didn't go out quietly. The Eagles led much of the first half, but Saint Mary's pulled away in the second half for an 85-65 victory in a non-conference game Friday (March 13) at McKeon Pavilion in Moraga, Calif. (more)
