Fresh off a three-day tournament, Kristina Gargaro and the Eagles are back at it next week.

Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational Final Results in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

The Eastern Washington University women's golf team played with some of the best teams on the West Coast at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, hosted by the Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash., and contested from Monday-Wednesday (Oct. 6-8).

The Eagles placed 13th after shooting 970 as a team (330-309-331). No. 20 Stanford won the title with a 905 (303-303-299), while Oregon placed second with a 921 (299-309-313). Eastern Washington was the only Big Sky Conference team to take part.

EWU's top golfer this week was Kristina Gargaro, as she finished in a 33rd-place tie with a 238 (80-73-85). Marli Mikulecky tied for the 40th slot with a 242 (80-78-84), and Chloe Nelson completed her week in a 42nd-place stalemate with a 243 (84-81-78).

Rounding out the Eagle quintet were Kellie Holmstedt (t56th, 248, 87-77-84) and Kylie Ray (t67th, 258, 86-83-89).

The tournament is the third of four in a four-week span for the Eastern Eagles. Next up is the NMSU Price's "Give `Em Five" Intercollegiate, hosted by the New Mexico State University Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M., from Monday-Wednesday (Oct. 13-15).
